The Enchanted Wood
Hevre, ul. Beera Meiselsa 18
MON - FRI: 10:00 - 2:00 | SAT-SUN: 10:00-4:00
We invite you to the Enchanted Wood in the heart of the Jewish district in Krakow, on the first floor of the Hevre bar. For a few hours the bar's space will be entirely transformed. The projections on the walls will showcase several black and white photographs of the wood in the mist. The pictures were taken during the mountain trip to Beskidy in June this year. The morning mist disguised the wood into a magical place. The pictures amaze with thousands of shades of grey, and interesting shapes of the trees.
Magdalena Krakowska is a graduate of Photography and Urban Cultures at Goldsmiths College in London (2005). Magdalena began her adventure with photography over 15 years ago from journalism, portraying interviewed artists. Although she values portrait photography, she sometimes photographs nature as well. "The Enchanted Wood" is an example of this. In photography she's interested in its simplicity, the right moment, and the story hidden behind the picture.
